Harry Potter Studio

As part of our Year 5 and 6 ‘Amazing Authors’ after school club, the children have been looking at the stories of Harry Potter. In school, they created another character to incorporate into a new storyline. This will then be written as a script, ensuring we have added stage directions, notes for props, costume and make up departments etc.

To support the children’s understanding of the process, we visited the Harry Potter studio near Watford. There, we had a lesson looking at original props and used these to create a story plot in a range of genres. After our lesson, we conducted the tour of the studio, looking at various sets, props and costumes. As you can see, we all had an amazing day!! Click here to see the pictures taken on the trip.
