We have been informed of some incidents which have occurred in relation to a game called Roblox. Roblox is an online multiplayer game where children can play and communicate with anyone who has the game on their computers. Children can speak to each other via chat rooms within the game. We are not recommending or condemning the game, we are just ensuring you are aware that there have been some issues in relation to Roblox and children not knowing who they are talking to online. Jane Key our Online safety advisor from Warwickshire ICT Development services has kindly put together an information pack containing some good advice about the game for parents, there are also a few links to websites which will give you more information and reviews on the game.

You may be already aware but a lot of the children have this game installed onto their netbooks, although they cannot access it when in school it can be played once the netbook is connected to the internet at home. The children do not have the permissions to uninstall Roblox from their netbooks, so if you would like it removing from your child’s device then please do not hesitate to ask Mr Edgington and he will be able to remove it.
