2LM’s assembly was based around our Polar Regions topic. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different animals and the features of such a remote landscape. The topic produced some fantastic non-fiction writing about animal facts as well as exciting history lessons, whilst learning about Captain Robert Scott. We even looked at modern day explorers such as Henry Worsley who sadly passed away during his expedition in January 2016.
